Clay County General Assistance shall be provided to residents of this county as mandated by the Code of Iowa, Section 252.25.

General Relief:

	May provide emergency assistance which prevents eviction due to unanticipated problems with rental or house payments or disconnection from utilities for non-payment
	Coordination with other agencies such as the Department of Human Services, UDMO, and local churches help address the needs
	Food and clothing referrals are coordinated with the local outreach office of Upper Des Moines Opportunity
	Funding of County burials
	Funding of Substance Abuse services are coordinated with the court system and treatment facilities for involuntary, voluntary, inpatient or outpatient services
	Shelter care collections on county-funded services
