Clay County is seeking a full-time County Engineer. 

 

Salary for this position will be between $125,000 and $145,000. depending on experience and qualifications.

 

Eligible candidates must:

Possess a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

Have four years as an Engineer-in-Training professional experience in civil engineering including field and office experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed civil engineer.

Two years additional engineering experience working as a licensed engineer is required.

State of Iowa licensed professional engineer (PE).

Must maintain a current PE license with Continuing Education Credits.

Possession of a valid State of Iowa certificate of registration as a professional engineer, according to Iowa Code 309.17.

Possession of a valid State of Iowa driver’s license.

Individual will be responsible for conducting driver’s license examinations and issuance in compliance with Iowa laws, departmental rules, policies, and procedures. This includes administering drive tests for automobiles

The Clay County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for a Full- Time BUILDINGS & GROUNDS DIRECTOR.  The Buildings and Grounds Director is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the maintenance and management of a property's physical assets, including buildings, grounds, and equipment. The primary role is to ensure that the property is well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.  Will strive to meet desired standards regarding general appearance, cleanliness, and operation efficiency. Provide preventative maintenance care of all equipment used.
