Property Tax Payment Reminder


The September 2021 first half property tax payment must be received in the Clay County Treasurer’s Office by 4:30 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021 or postmarked by Thursday, September 30, 2021 to avoid penalty.

 

Pay online for less than a postage stamp!  E-check fees are $0.25 per transaction. Discover, MasterCard, and Visa are accepted online,for a fee, at www.iowatreasurers.org.  In office payments are also accepted with these payment methods and fees.

Veteran Affairs Commissioner Opening


Clay County Commission of Veteran Affairs is accepting applications for a commissioner opening. The commission is a three-member board and is a three year commitment. Must have honorable discharge.

DAV Volunteers Needed


The Clay County Commission of Veteran Affairs Is currently seeking volunteers to transport area veterans to Sioux Falls VA Medical Center in the DAV van.  Volunteers must pass a physical and background check provided by the VA.

 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A VETERAN TO BE A DAV DRIVER

 

This is a great opportunity to serve area Veterans!

Clay County has several options for those interested in COVID-19 vaccinations.

REAL ID Requirement Extended


If your driver's license or ID doesn't have a REAL ID gold star by May 3, 2023, you will need to show a different TSA-approved idenitity document (Like a passport or military ID) to fly.  There is no additional cost or testing to get a REAL ID gold star, however, you will need to bring in a few documents.For more information visit iowadot.gov/mvd/realid
