The second half property tax installment is due!!


The Second half taxes is due Monday, March 31, 2025 delinquent Tuesday, April 1, 2025. You may pay in our office at 300 West 4th St, Spencer, IA., between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.


Payments may be made by mail, online or dropped off in our boxes on the north and south side of the Clay County Administration Building. Property tax information may be obtained online at www.iowatreasurers.org or by calling the Treasurer’s Office at 712-262-2179.


To pay online by E-check there is a $.25 per transaction fee to use a Debit card there is a $2.00 fee and credit card fee is 2 ¼ percent fee. We accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover. To avoid penalty on the second installment, payment must be received in the Treasurer’s office or postmarked March 31, 2025.



Request for Subcontractor Qualifications Oneota Environmental Learning Center

Woodruff Construction is soliciting SIPS Building Supply, HVAC, and Electrical subcontractor Statements of Qualifications “SOQs” on behalf of Clay County for the Oneota Environmental Learning Center.  This request invites firms to prepare and submit SOQ for accomplishment of the items of work described under the Project Description and Scope of Work in the RFQ.  SOQs are to be submitted via email to artb@woodrufff.build no later than February 13th, 2025 @ 5:00pm.”

REAL ID Requirement Extended


If your driver's license or ID doesn't have a REAL ID gold star by to May 7, 2025 you will need to show a different TSA-approved idenitity document

(Like a passport or military ID) to fly. There is no additional cost or testing to get

a REAL ID gold star, however, you will need to bring in a few documents.
